The InnovationLab is supported by strong partners such as Heidelberger Druckmaschinen, BASF, SAP, KIT, and Heidelberg University, who are working together on interdisciplinary, application-oriented research.

We have the great opportunity to visit Powder-Up! in Ulm and gain insights into the pilot plant at ZSW. We will get exciting first-hand impressions of the pilot plant, which for the first time enables the production of innovative battery materials and their precursors on a scale of up to 100 kg outside of industry. The Powder-Up! pilot plant covers a floor space of 2,400 square meters and includes all production steps for the manufacturing of high-energy and environmentally friendly battery materials. This includes a precipitation plant for precursors, a high-temperature heat treatment, and various post-processing options. New chemical laboratories and high-precision analytical measuring instruments are also integrated.
