Women in Battery Research

Frauen in der Batterieforschung

On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, five of our female researchers from different disciplines came together to talk about their experiences during their studies and scientific careers. They discussed if and which hurdles exist for women in STEM fields and what advice they have for young female scientists. Prof. Christine Kranz chaired the panel with Dr. Montaha Anjass, Maren-Kathrin Heubach, M.Sc., Dr. Janna Hofmann and Prof. Britta Nestler.

Women have been underrepresented in the so-called STEM fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. It is essential to increase the visibility of women in STEM fields. Female role models help overcome existing stereotypes and attitudes that may prevent women from studying or pursuing careers in these subjects.
