POLiS PhD David Schäfer awarded with Rowland and Christine Hill Award
David Schäfer, POLIS PhD in the group of Professor Marcus Rohnke at Justus Liebig University Giessen, received the Rowland and Christine Hill Award at the 24th International Conference on Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (SIMS 24, La Rochelle, France). This prize, sponsored by IONOPTIKA, was awarded to David Schäfer for his outstanding poster presentation entitled “Surface Sensitive Mass Spectrometry for Investigations of the SEI Formation on Hard Carbon Electrodes in Sodium-Ion Batteries”. The complete description of the SEI on hard carbon electrodes is a topic that several POLIS groups are working on together in Research Unit C.
