Virtual Summer Symposium

As a Summer School could not take place this year due to the corona virus, POLiS and the GS-EES organized a Virtual Summer Symposium on September 21 and 22. About 50 participants from different disciplines ranging from theoretical chemistry, materials science, surface science, electrochemistry to process engineering prepared joint presentations and discussed their own results, planned research and current developments in the field of Li-ion and post Li-ion battery research. Economic considerations were presented by Tobias Wirsching from EnBW in who gave a presentation about “Battery storage in an energy industry with an increasing share of renewables“.
