POLiS at virtual career fair
POLiS operated a virtual booth together with KIT colleagues at the "Resarch in Germany" Virtual Fair, in which hundreds of international early career researchers participated. Prof. Dr. Axel Groß, one of the POLiS spokespersons, and Dr. Johannes Schnaidt, Managing Director of the Graduate School EES, informed early career researchers about the structured qualification program, the intensive support during the PhD process, and the measures for career promotion at POLiS. As at real fairs, the participants had the opportunity to get flyers and watch information videos at the booths. The communication with the stand supervisors took place via a chat. A total of 25 German universities and research institutions presented themselves at the fair, which was organized by the German Academic Exchange Service.
The career prospects of young researchers in this Cluster are excellent due to the high scientific and industrial relevance of the research program, which is reflected in the high demand for well-trained specialists in the relevant industries, e.g. battery material suppliers, automotive and electronics industries.
