Block Course 2023 Part 1 completed

GS-EES members completed the Block Course Part 1

Members of the Graduate School for Electrochemical Energy Storage (GS-EES) have successfully completed the first part of the block course "Materials, Functioning and Technology of Batteries" which took place from 27 February to 3 March 2023. Following the pandemic, the group was finally able to meet again in person – a total of 23 participants, including two guest doctoral researchers from Utrecht University, were welcomed at the Begegnungs- und Tagungszentrum Michelsberg near Geislingen an der Steige.

Besides scientific lectures ranging from fundamentals to electrolytes and electrode materials as well as characterization techniques, the programm also included poster and flash presentations of each participant as well as social activities.

The second part of the block course will be taking place from 8 to 12 May 2023.
